ITU-ASTC U23 & Junior Camp

ITU and ASTC had a Junior and U 23 Development camp in Jeju, South Korea 11 to 19 August. There were 27 athletes from Asia that attended the camp led by Luc Morin, the head coach and assisted by seven other ASTC coaches. Ki the ITU Sport Development Coordinator for ASTC said, “The camp participants are very happy. I believe they enjoy the camp much.” The athletes and coaches learned from each other and participated in specific swim, bike and run sessions that were guided by head coach Luc Morin.

ITU and ASTC will hold a level 1 Community Coaches Course in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia 28 to 31 August. There are 17 coaches from Mongolia, Hong Kong and Iran attending the course. The course presenters will be Alan Ley ITU sport Development, Stephanie Chok from Malaysia and Ashiq Idris from Singapore. Stephanie and Ashiq attended the first ITU-ASTC Facilitators course in Malaysia earlier this year.

The Level 1 Community Coaches Course is a 4 day course targeting beginner and youth athletes. More information can be found about ITU Sport Development programs at www.triathlon.org – in the Sport Development section.
