ITU and ASTC placed a stepping stone to enhance coaching skills for coaches from emerging NFs in Asia

16 community coach candidates mainly from Mongolia will take 4 days course consisted of 2 days class room work and 2 days practical work. Most of them are current and former athletes from Mongolia.

The goal of this course is to prepare Mongolian coaches to assist with grassroots youth and beginner programs. This course will provide level 1 coach Candidates a great opportunity to learn about recent coaching skills and training programs. Also this course help ITU and ASTC understand what emerging countries need to develop athletes and coaches to next level. Two lecturers, Mr. Ashiq Idris from Singapore and Ms. Stephanie chok from Malaysia have conducted lectures under the mentorship of Mr. Alan Ley, ITU Sport Development manager.

The best thing here in Mogolia is that 3 TV stations including Mongolian National Broadcasting Company will report the course in prime time News. It will be good promotion for our sport in Mongolia.
