Who’s Beijing Bound?

With less than a month until the start of the Beijing Olympic Games, the start lists for the men’s and women’s triathlons are almost finalized.  More than 30 countries have confirmed their teams.

Among the athletes who will line up on the pontoon in Beijing are Athens silver medalist Bevan Docherty of New Zealand, Sydney gold medalist Simon Whitfield of Canada, bronze medalists Sven Riederer and Magali Di marco, both of Switzerland.

The women’s triathlon will start at 10am (local Beijing time UTC/GMT +8 hours) on Monday August 18th.  The men’s triathlon will be staged the next day on Tuesday August 19th also at 10am.
