International juniors in action!

BG ITU World Junior Camp 2006, August 17th: Tiszaujvaros, Hungary: Welcome
to the first annual BG-ITU World Junior Camp. Thirty-one (31) junior athletes from 14 different countries have converged on the town of Tiszaujvaros, Hungary for a 12-day camp leading up to the World Championships in Lausanne.

Sponsored by the BG Group, the camp is aimed at athletes ages 16 to 19 from developing and emerging National Federations who have aspirations to pursue Elite levels in Triathlon. They will be treated to an exhilarating schedule of technical training, sport education, long term planning, race preparation, and more.

The camp is a vital part of ITU’s sport development global plan and will occur annually in different continents around the globe.

The 2006 camp features a stellar group of international coaches from five different countries including:
  Claude Meyer (head coach, France)

  Antonio Rivas (swimming; Spain)

  Carol Austin (cycling; South Africa)

  Bobby McGee (running, United States)

  Libby Burrell (ITU coordinator; South Africa)

One of the most successful ITU World Cup athletes in history, Brad Beven, is also attending to share his valuable knowledge of the Elite levels of Triathlon.
